Home Radio Road

Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

Re: Picked up new Tuner

No, naught a TU-9090 tuner, Richard, but a 9090 receiver! Recapped that pup right after River Cat season, along with replacing the fuses with slo-blows! It's got a riveting retro hi-end vibe, especially through them hemp-reconed Mesa Boogie Black Shadow speakers(basically Celestion Classic Lead speakers with an EV-style coil form vent). As for Monday eve's event, we sat along the back wall & the sound was crisp-n-clear! Freight's mc said they needed around 2 mill for their scheduled move a few years hence. Sounds like y'all had a blast Tuesday eve as well. Nice to know John Meyer does more than play pop-n-blues(saw his Blues Trio last New Years' Eve with Phil Lesh & Friends)! BTW, KPFA's signal has been comin' in a bit steadier-n-stronger recently. Wonder if they fixed their antenna or added that translator atop Mount Diablo? Happy holidaze to you-n-yourn from Sactown!!!
