I like to listen late night and my local AM radio station is barely out of reach. The only thing that will marginally pull it in is an old tube type desk type philco bakelite radio. When the heater is running, IT almost don't pull it in. I have strung up wire to make a dipole antenna and simply, cannot get any of my tuners to touch this station at all except the old tube AM radio.Any idea if the C-Cranes are really all they are cracked up to be?
I bought one of the Emersons that folks were bragging about how well it did and the station simply is NOT THERE with it..as with all my other digital tuners in the house. The Tube radio WILL pick it up..but is so long in the tooth, it may just go out completely one day soon. It is 60 years old.
