Home Radio Road

Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

IF filters? narrower even! but extra noise even with pro-radio stuff is going to happen.

what's the lie of the land from main txer to translator's input antenna like? That input antenna needs to be as big as possible, or be stacked. The limiting factor in the system, because, what you get sent can be no better than that

It might be cheaper to find all the local listeners and raise funds to do that.

Even if it is good LoS to that point - that is a longgggg way you mentioned, so it may be picking up all sortsa stuff, along with the L-R signal after some bounces which is always vulnerable.

Is the rcvr at the translator running wide-band or just a tight curve around what it needs for 89.9?

And, if I were you I would join the FM tuners group at Yahoo, if you haven't already!

These guys are the bees-ka-neese on this stuff and they may know a dxer (even among the local audience) in yr neck of the woods!
