No Manual, but an Intermediate Frequency mode switch likely selects wide or narrow IF bandwidth which would affect signal selectivity among closely-adjacent stations; if there is no closely adjacent station, the wider range should offer greater fidelity as Audio frequency extremes are not eliminated. If there is interferance from a neighboring station, then the narrower range should eliminate that interferance at the expense of lessor fidelity (but less fidelity is better than no fidelity that results with interferance). Flip the switch & use the selection that sounds best with the station you are listening to.
