...had a setup like that back in 1971 using two Channel Masters...based on an article in Audio magazine...believe the distance is to be half a wavelenght mid-band.At any rate, from a not very good location (slight valley) in North Stamford, CT I was able to pull *thru* NYC and get several Philly stations; turned NorthWest, Poughkeepsie was a piece of cake, and on a good day could somtimes pull in Albany, NY.
Was using a Heath AJ-15 tuner at the time.
Well worth doing if you have good but distant stations to listen to, and a decent tuner for DX'ng.
