Back in the late sixties, into the seventies, I had a tube booster for VHS TV reception. It was from an antenna company like Wineguard or similar brand but I don't remember which one. It had a metal box with 2 or three tubes on the mast with the power supply/transformer inside the house behind the TV.I also used it for FM and it was hell on wheels. Great signal strength and very quiet. But that thing ate those little tubes. Maybe the temperature swings. No telling how many times I crawled up on the roof to replace them. Still have a bunch of the tubes in the garage. ; * )
