best setup for rural fm reception question

Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

I have a travel trailer in the forest and wish to maximize my fm reception. I purchased a outdoor fm antenna (looks like an old fashioned outdoor tv antenna)from radio shack and put it up about 25 feet and ran coaxial cable from the antenna into the coax input jack in the outside of the trailer, then from one of the inside coax jacks to my pioneer sx 535 receiver. results are not impressive. others in the area have had better luck. I presume alot here, including the internal wiring of the trailer coax cable system. I presume the coax goes in the 75 ohm input in the receiver? any ideas would be appreciated. thanks
