My roof is pretty steep, but because of a sloping yard the fall would only be about 8' in back. You could always mount the whip to your chimney, and that would give you something for support while you're up there.BTW, getting WGBH in Gardner with a whip is pretty good, I think. I don't think my car can pull it in out there.
