Unless you need real distance, where the big APS type stuff is called for, this is a great little directional antenna.It's essentially the same thing that Antennacraft sells as their FM6.

Of course, if you could get by with a good omni, their FMSS will send those fancy, expensive,currently en vogue whip antennas that cost four to five times as much running home crying to to monmmy. I've got the RatShack clone on a 10' mast on a cape cod and my dial is chock full.
