Yes, there was a big improvement in sound, in all aspects--deeper bass, sweeter and more vibrant highs, clearer mids, more air around notes...etc. Occasionally I am stunned by the sound, e.g., the vibration felt from a guitar. Very happy I did it.My reasoning was that this tuner, by all reviews I read, had a great "tuner" RF section, but perhaps the audio stage didn't match it. I took a chance and did the mods and it worked out great-big improvement. Now I have to the address the heat issue.
