Quad FM 4 Tuner and output load

Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

I have a chance to pick up one of these, but I have also read that the output load presented to the tuner must be greater than 20 kOhms in order to get decent performance. Anyone familiar with this and the effect? Fixes? Output load of a tuner (is that just the preamp? or everything)? I am confused.
