I had a regular cheapie dipole set up horizontally outside on the exterior siding with speaker wire lead and most stations were coming in at 4,out of 5 on my Sansui Tu 717. Sounded pretty good. With the Ccrane dipole vertically on a short mast and coax lead, the signal bumped a little up, but the quality of the sound improved a lot, for instance the background noise I had heard for years from one of my favorite stations finally disappeared!
