I need another tuner like a hole in the head, but once I saw one going for such a low price ($55) I couldn't resist. For such a thin (1.75 inch!) tuner it is remarkably heavy--a good sign, and one that proved predictive. In my limited experience, all the digital tuners I had heard sounded "electronic"--a hard to describe but a clearly identifiable articiality. To cut to the chase, the Sanyo has none of it. It's sound is almost indistinguishable from my McIntosh MR-78; after a month of going back and forth I really can't choose a favorite. As for tuning, the convenience of digital really wins out against the somewhat finicky Mac. It doesn't look as impressive, but for the price I really don't think it can be beat.
