Nice tuner. Turning SS equipment on and off is tougher on it than leaving it on, but lightning can do a heck of a lot more damage. If you are in an area with a lot of lightning you might consider unplugging it during storms.
We are in a place with a lot of lightning. We have a half dozen ground rods and still have had damage through antennae but more through power line.
