'Decent' depending on where you live and where the stations you want are in relation to you for reception.Good results from FM don't just depend on good received signal strength - which most tuners indicators are designed to exaggerate. It also depends on low multi-path on the signal from each desired station. aka minimal reflections.
"No tuner made can reject multi-path."
The antenna can and is a real part of your radio system, and can crucially affect sound quality.
If you have any stations nearby that regularly broadcast live acoustic concerts or recordings of such then you may need a 'decent' antenna.
So what's the budget for your antenna / do you know what you need?
I'll go further, if the above isn't on your radar and if there are such stations nearby there's a whole world of free music available for less than $US 150, or a lot less.
FM FOOL can help you put the local stations on the map and let you trace their bearings back to your home on the same map. Only then will you know.
