Quality of a FM station can exist anywhere on the dial. For some reason a lot of college & religous based stations are at the lower end of dial in my area & other areas where I lived or visit. At times a simple station that does not have audio compressors, opti-mods and data processors sounds better. Hard to beat vinyl playback into a clean running FM transmitter. Bad news is most of these college stations that have a bare minimum of equipment also produces very low power that limits signal strength. 'WXMR with 20 watts ERP at your service'.
