It would interest me greatly to know what sort of updates were done on your Scott 310-E.
I owned one of those years ago and ultimately gave it away to a friend of mine. (I had picked it up for practically nothing in a local Berkeley recycling place. That was around 1980) Frankly, I did not think it sounded quite as nice as one of my Fisher tuners, specifically, a Model FM-100-B which I had updated by replacing the selenium rectifier and whatever old tired capacitors it contained with fresh stock, film types in general. The tuner seemed to be in good alignment, as well.
Please follow up on your upgrade.
