Richard is spot on.

Other brands of mpx will not work with the scotts. The output from the scott mpx is smaller than the fishers, sherwoods, pilots etc. There is not enough gain to properly operate.

You can make your own as Eli suggests, and that would be the cheapest solution.

The Scott 335 and kit model are likely going to cost you more than your tuner.

You can listen in mono very well.

I had a 310B and LM335 which I foolishly sold and then picked up a extremely good condition LT10, mono. Tried it with a pilot mpx and found out the problems.
