It's a shame. What I liked about the TVC was that I could use it on the OUTPUT of my combined DAC/preamp because I can't mess around with the stepup x-former between DAC/preamp tubes, but as I'm rebuilding it balanced I need to either trade my Mk2's for a Mk1 or 9335 or try something else.I can't place a 1544A & attenuator between the DAC/tubes and I don't think I can put that on the output either. Seems a pain to add another stage just for volume control.
