Must respectfully disagree. Once all the details are worked out, and components are selected, then lay out the chassis requirements to hold it all. Some bits are bigger than others... :)

For instance, fixed bias with a negative supply can require another small transformer, and a spot to put the adjustment pot...and then decide about the sorts of caps for B+ filtering, size varies wildly between electrolytics( smallest), to film and foil(biggest).
