There was a discussion here recently about 600V wire. As a result of that thread, I eventually found better PVC hookup wire than I was using myself. The wire is unique because even though it's only 22 gauge, the outer diameter is 0.093". That's more than twice the diameter of wire available from most sellers, and it closely resembles the vintage PVC wire found in older gear.
Antique Electronic Supply sells this in 50' spools and also in a pack of 10' lengths of mixed colors. I ordered the latter to sample it, and I can now report that it's excellent for general chassis wiring. It strips clean and easy with hand strippers, and it holds its shape well when wiring. It's rated for 600V and 105°, perfect for tube equipment.
