If B+ touches the chassis

and the chassis is attached to the 'house ground' on the IEC connector and the 'house ground' is grounded to neutral at the CB box, the fuse will still blow as B+ source is still going to go through the fuse on the hot side of the power transformer.

Now if the 'house ground'/IEC connector ground is NOT really ground and/or the neutral is not really neutral and NOT attached to 'ground' at the circuit breaker box and not attached to the 5 ft long spike in the ground, then we go other problems.

Have had an electrician check on all that when we hooked up a MiniSplit in the 'Casita' a few weeks ago.

Plus there was a big inspection on all things electric by Power New Mexico when we went with solar panels a couple years ago. That's when they drove this long stake in the ground, to satisfy the power company with the solar installation.

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass
