Amplifier Progress

Here's a shot of the raw chassis that I just finished cutting. It's amazing how much work goes into something like this. Not just the cutting, but the planning and research to make sure everything fits correctly and placement is optimal. Thanks again to the many members whose advice was invaluable in moving the project along. If all goes well, this will be the first of several I'm constructing in this general format.

Additional details - this is cut from a 10" X 14" X 2" aluminum extrusion with 0.125" walls. All tube sockets will be mounted on sub-chassis. Front and rear panels have been cut to rough size and the mounting hardware is complete. They still need to be shaped, engraved and clear anodized. The sub-chassis for the audio tubes is complete, along with the mounting hardware. I'll need to cut a smaller one for the two VR tubes.
