And they are easily the finest amplifiers I've ever heard. Easily besting my prior Marantz 8B. Triode mode is particularly astonishing. Voices and instruments have real body and palpability. And the highs are never harsh, yet all the high frequency content is there.
So yes, their legendary status is more than justified.
I was skeptical too until I got my hands on a pair!
