Hey I have been looking for some new regulator schematics for some new preamps and amps. I have used a similar 6080 reg in my preamp with out fault for 15 years!
I was interested in trying the janus but it lacked the current. So this seems to fix this and having a voltage regulation seems good too but I don't get why you would put the shunt regulator first that cant stabilize voltage and then the series reg that can second and not the other way around? is the series reg following the signal of the shunt reg somehow? would it need a amp tube like ef86 to do this? what point is the janus serving being ahead of such a simple series regulator? confused more..
