A few weeks ago I replaced the coupling caps in my JELabs300B-type amp. I removed some Jensen copper foil (from Angela - 2002) which still measured very close to their original values. I put in CuTF V-cap caps in their place. Initially, the sound was slightly more open, a nicer treble with some more detail. Now, as they have a little more time on them, these caps have made a significant difference in the character of the amps. Not in the sense of changing timbres (which would be bad) but the layers of detail that I am now hearing are awesome, and the bass has a more palpable feel to it.
As someone else on the web said, we may be willing to spend a ton of money on interconnects, but changing the coupling caps can be a more (relatively) affordable means to a truer sound. I agree.
