The problem is as people build equipment there is a hierarchy of importance:
1. Death/Electrocution/House Fire Avoidance
2. Buzz/Hum/Noise
3. Ability to generate acceptable low frequency control
4. Ability to generate full spectrum
5. Works as part of a system to generate acceptable listening levels
6. Acceptable sound quality in a real room
7. Graphs of electrical output level to show spectral re-growth
Yes, most don't get past 6.
When you look at a measurement of actual speakers in an actual room with the equipment, the -84dB response will not affect a pixel in the room response graph.
Above is a measurement I made in a real room with very good amps and speakers.
