Hi all,
I have a couple of old receivers that haven't been powered up in about 20 years. I thought I would use a variac to bring them up slowly. Anyone familiar with these things? I see them for sale at 300VA 3 amp, 500VA 5 amp etc. What would I need for a receiver, or say a tube amp for that matter? From what I have read I definitely don't want to use a variac that would not have the necessary amps.
