AFAIK, the only Bogen Product that used 8417's was the MO100A (not MO100, which used a pair of 6550), and the MO200, which used a pair of the same transformers, and twice the number of 8417's.
I have heard of people using a pair of tubes in a MO100A, which loads the tubes lighter, giving less power and less distortion.
