DIY, Stereo DC 6AQ5 amp

Hiah,

Here is the layout and the start of a new for 2012 DIY design, a 12AY7 DCed into a triode-connected 6AQ5 SE stereo amplifier.

The Golden Ratio chassis is 14 gauge steel with welded corners, powder coated Midnight Blue Wrinkle, weighs 13 pounds - is substantial.

This uses Mikey's Magnequest DS-050s, and my power transformer's DCR is under 15 Ohms, L1 is 0.8 Ohms, and L2 is under 7 Ohms. C1 is 20 uF, C2 is 50 uF, supports both channels.

This one gets solid state rectification which is a change of pace for me.

Cheers,

Jeff Medwin
