I'm searching for a circuit that's already had any bugs (hum or other issues) worked out. It seems that many build an outboard power supply to keep the transformers away from the parts sensitive to RFI. The seduction is a little out of my price range. I would really like to stay closer to $200, but might go $300 if it makes sense. Part of the fun is going to be sourcing parts and testing my own abilities in building it. I would stuff and solder a board as a last resort.
