Really shocked to read this. A major loss for the audio and especially the DIY community. Allen was always very eager to help even the newbiest, although his level of expertise was at a highest level. Many times I had emailed him and he was always willing to answer my questions.
Since 1999, I have built his FVP preamplifier, which I regard one of the best I've heard. I'm also in the process of building his RTP3C balanced preamp. He has contributed with a bunch of novel ideas in the audio field. We sure are going to miss him.
May your soul rest in peace, Allen.
