Regardless of which new power trafo you install, ALL electrolytic caps. in the amp MUST be replaced. 'Lytics literally dry out over time.
There's a good chance that the coupling caps. have "gone South" too. 716P series Orange Drops are moderately priced replacements for that job.
Check the value of Carbon composition resistors for drift out of tolerance. Such drift is common enough. Replace out of spec. resistors. Metal film is fine in grid leak positions. Carbon film will probably do elsewhere.
