Good practice. Commercial/Industrial power systems are right up there with the best... when done right.
Go to any INDUSTRIAL electric supplier and you will find all sorts of wonderful stuff you can use.
What Cardas and EP have done for us is to make this level... or slightly better... performance available with ease of installation and superb fit, installation, and beauty.
Cardas best post uses a solid silver shank which ends up as a clamp-plate, and you have an identical solid silver clamp plate on the other side. You also have solder holes in the silver shank-- use OLD Wondersolder, and you have all of the other possibilities either beat or equalled, and it looks nice, and fits Hi-Fi Industry standard cable lugs.
