Guys,Hey I have made 211, 845, 212 you name it amps.
They never sound as good as the tubes specifically made for audio.... my top fav as of today:
1) VT52
2) 45
3) PX4
4) RE604
5) RS241 I guess this is a transmitter
6) 50 these can out preform the 300B if you use them correctly.
7) WE300B new don't really care for the NOS models
8) 71A great little tube! Headphones Anyone?
9) WE205
10) 6A3/6B4G (no 2A3's sorry) new ones are pretty nice.BTW... the amp... KT88/6550 used by Rob Fetters of the Bears, Psychodots etc...
25W SET guitar amp using what a couple of the engineers at Fender said patentable technology. In that it runs A to 18W and A2 to 25W's using a Reactor Follower direct coupled technology and inverted gas tubes to regulate the screen. Thanks to Kevin McKeehan for taking the photo at the time trials last Friday at Indy.
Adrian Belew who uses four 100W johnson amps in releasal for their last tour kept asking Rob to turn it down :)))
Later, hey nobody said you were wrong. Do what you want! Since 1988 I have made a ton of amps. Over 78 different 45 amplifiers. Heck there are more than 600 Cardinals out there. You decide what you like.
Thanks
