I am beginning to suspect that the rules change for caps that are under 1uf like I having been trying to use for a trim cap going into the first choke. My experiments so far have consistently had no flow of current with .47 mpp caps in series using anything from 39K to 150K. The only thing that worked was 400k and those resistors were to low a wattage rating and got hot quickly. I already know that for large (330uf) electrolytics in series what you are saying is true because I have done it on power supply caps and it works. I have not been so lucky with these small value caps. Is there a diofference in the way they behave. What happens everytine is that the voltage measured decreases as you move farther down stream on the series of caps. Got any idea of why that is?
