I understood that 211's and 845's are a bit brutal?

I'm not familiar with the others.. so thankyou for your reply. Budget is not an issue, EML 520B's arn't cheap at about US$500 each. This is an 18month project and other than my radiogram project, the last big amplifier change I'll make for a long time(my current amps I've had for 12 years).

I am aware of my biases, and I do like the rose tinted view of the world.. Im not really interested in neutral. How the valve looks is also important, I do like old world charm :)

PS. Could you give a brief one liner on the other valves you suggested? I've never heard of them.
