Ah, yes, it's on my list of places to visit. For the most part, I avoid tourist locales. However, this area has a unique reputation for natural beauty and freedom from the pollution that blankets so many of China's cities now. Hong Kong is out, by the way; it's much too Western for my taste. These trips are expensive, and I make use of them primarily to shoot regional culture. In that regard, Hong Kong holds little more interest for me than NYC. Let's stay in touch; maybe we can meet up for a beer. I'll be there in April and/or May. Incidentlaly, I assume you speak Mandarin? I only know a few words, but my wife is fluent. That's how I stay out of trouble. :)
