to connect the metal shell to one of the leads and to use this lead as an outer foil. The cap should be wrapped in heatshrink or polyester film to insulate the body. I have been doing it with K72 and FT-2 teflon caps to eliminate hum coming from ungrounded mass of metal.Grounding the body may or may not work well depending on the circuit. It may add significant capacitance (100-200 pF) to ground that may roll off high frequencies.
