OT Final Touch on my SE KT88 System

Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

Bought some BetterCables for my "subwoofer"
which freed up my HT ProSilwayIIs.
Exchanged the Monster IC for the
Harmonic Technology ProSilwayII IC,
lost some warmth but ohh so neutral.
I would also call it natural.
Very detailed so tonally right.
I listen and it just makes me smile.
Highs are crystalline and smooth.
Mids are natural and real sounding.
Bass is extended with seamless transition.
The BetterCables have a nice deep bass
but I now have a bothersome 120 Hz hum.
Very low level but there nonetheless.
99% of the time I don't hear it BUT
I know it's there and that bothers me.
I may be anal about this but ...
Any recommendations for a woofer IC
since my crossover is 200 Hz I really
can't call it a subwoofer in reality.
Thinking Harmonic Technology TruthLink
but open to anyone's suggestions.
Looked through the Cables Asylum archives
and that's why I tried bettercables.com
but they aren't shielded enough for me.
