DaveMy last amp had a common LCLC PS
for a very short period of time.
It had very little channel seperation.
I, myself, enjoy channel seperation.
It seems that it is not that important to you.
Fine but I tried it and didn't like it.
Maybe you use a phono source which would
explain it since phono cartidges have
very little channel seperation.
As well as the CF output amp in general,
was too much like a pentode amp for me.
Articulate in your face presentation that
for me was too never let me into the music.
It was better with seperate LC filters
but not good enough - I could get SS amps
that I would enjoy listening to more.
So I junked it and used most of the parts
to build this amp - now a SE 6550 amp.
The Flying C 6550 improved the bass extension
and seemed to have tamed the highs also.
An LC filter then a seperate LC per channel
would have been sufficient for me but since
I already had the other choke - hey, why not.>> keep the output stage from modulating the input stage
One day I will see if that is a significant importance.
Don't have the space to do it on this amp and
I am not willing to lose the channel seperation.
13 pieces of iron on this amp now.DanL
