Noting the on going GM70 discussion, I wonder how that tube compares with the Svetlana SV811-3, SV811-10, and SV572-3. Unlike the GM70, they were advertized to be aimed at the audio market and are (I think) still available from at least one source. Their filaments draw a much more reasonable 25 watts (6.3 @ 4amps), as compared to the GM70’s 60 watts (20 @ 3 amps). And they require only a standard 4 pin socket, instead of the $30 socket required by the GM70.Aside from the limited availability of the SV811/SV572, can any of you comment on the relative merits of these tubes?
