Dude,850 VRMS is over 1200 V. peak. Phase up the primaries and connect them in parallel. Full wave bridge rectify the 850 VAC with 3X UF4007s in series at each end of the rectifier winding forming the connections to ground. Connect the plate of a 6AU4 to each end of the rectifier windings. Tie the 2 cathodes together and take the "raw" B+ from the junction. CLC filter the B+. The caps. don't have to be all that high in value. AAMOF, the 1st filter cap. should be just large enough to keep the rail voltage up. Follow the initial CLC filter with a pair of LC sections (1 per channel). Low DCR inductors will improve regulation.
Your guess about the trafo being capable of high current seems right.
