what about a lot of swinging voltages?

Can an IT or a CT autoformer be used on the grid of a cathode follower output stage? I am thinking that there will be over 400V rms AC, as the output stage will be running at 600VDC.

I guess I am trying to figure out what are the challenges (if any) to build such a piece, as I may be crazy to even think about passing so much voltage through an IT or autoformer.
