Are you bypassing your diodes with high voltage (eg. mica)caps ( see the link at the bottom of http://members.tripod.com/~gabevee/mypwrsup.html )?Off topic, .. I'm not sure what you mean when you compare the sound to the highs on an MC-2100 . I own one (fully refurbished) and always thought its greatest strengths were the solid low end and warm, non-fatiguing sound.
