I never got around to testing the difference between stranded and solid; however, IMHO solid wire makes for a neater end result if you do point-to-point wiring, as I do, rather than using printed circuits and/or tag boards/strip board.That's the only opinion I have on this subject, based on practicality not the "sound". I was merely trying to point out that there have already been a number of opinions on the topic. As I said in another post, it's nothing personal.
However, I must admit to some scepticism about the 'magic' of conductors, stemming from reading some pretty far-fetched claims I've seen elsewhere about cables, connectors, switches and the like. To read some of them, you'd wonder how any music at all comes out of a system that hasn't had a small fortune lavished on these things!
