I am looking at 6550/KT88 too. Thinking of something like a PPP Amity. But using pentodes as output tubes to save costs.13E1 is also something that I am looking at, but 8 of them for an amp can be pricy. Anyone know of a Russian (cheap) equivalent of 13E1?
