'Solid core wire "sounds" better than stranded wire and thinner "sounds" better than thicker' - these are widely reported findings, by other members of this forum who have taken the trouble to experiment and listen. Multiple strand wiring, parallel conductors and oversize conductors are in direct contradiction to such findings. Neither can be called "conventional wisdom". The fact that they are contradictory suggests strongly that one (if not both) of them must be wrong.
