Hi.

Glad you are doing what I've been doing since day one. Yes, teflon insulated hook-up wires is the way to go. But make sure you try NOT to use any overall foil or braid shielding for the teflon wires for signal paths unless you find it EMI/RFI noisy.

Just that I go sorta more refined: 4N pure silver solid wires or
silver plated oxygen free high conductivity (OFHC) solid wires, teflon PTFE insulated for all signal paths.

But for very HV, over 600V, you got to make sure you got thick wall teflon insulation coating !!!!!!! For over 1KV, make sure you put on additional heat shrink tubing jacket for safety.

I recommend you to also use teflons to insulate your twisted heater PS wires. It is better than any PVC coating as it can go up to 200C no sweat.
