Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

No, I picked it up for $10 bucks from a garage sale.

Hi.

If you don't know the business, you may end up spending hundreds of bucks to buy a brandname cooker which designed for breaking-in cables or specific parts only.

Thorsten recommended using a tuner to cook up any I/P transformers before using them.

Years back, I already used this same tweak, but an old AM/FM receiver, 25W+25W picked up in a garage sale. This pressure cooker really cook up stuff fast & quick.

For power cords which needs high current loading, I break them in with the receiver's full power & set the broadband FM white noise up to 20KHz.

I don't have to finance those cookers vendors as I know the tweak.
